We’ve all heard this lot many times, from colleagues or any other that if you are not blogging about your business you are nowhere!
Well it is true. Things have changed, earlier people used to take help from books, now they go to the World Wide Web. We have actually made our way from library to the computers.
Searching on Google for even a slight piece of information has made the online world of information a ready source for everything. This is the reason blogging has become a successful marketing tool.
But should you really consider blogging? Just like startup business, starting a blog requires determination. You need to have clear goals in mind to get the best out of your blogs otherwise it would just be like a rat race! If you are blogging just for the heck of it then it’s of no use.
Here are reasons why you should not blog –
You are blogging with no aim
Although, the primary aim of blogging is to drag sales, still blogging need to have a purpose to achieve and a target to write to. People, who sit down to write with unclear goals and no defined target, often end up getting nowhere.
Understand your blogging goal. It can be to create awareness about your products or services, or educate your readers or solve their problem or anything else. If you are blogging without anything in mind, then do not expect customer engagement in return.
You don’t have time for blogging
Building a successful content strategy, and creating blogs takes a lot of effort, patience, time, creativity and stamina. So if you don’t have any one of them, stay out!
You are not good in keeping up regular schedules
Blogging requires you to be busy. You will need to regularly publish new posts to make it more engaging for your audience. Even the search engines love the websites that are regularly updated! So now you know why a particular website performs better!
You do not hang around social media
Promotion is equally important when it comes to blogging. If you are not engaging your audience via social media then you are lagging behind. If social media is not the place you want to be then blogging is not the thing you should be doing.
If you still want to blog make sure that you are not culpable of any one of the above.
